WEFWAG AIMS
Our aim is to create a forum that will enable people from any of
the Sections to collaborate in discussions and productive activities that might
contribute to a NEW EDUCATION WORLDWIDE in the 21ST CENTURY (NEW21).
I have
uploaded a copy of the original paper about NEW21 published in the final
edition of New Horizons, November 2006.
A
useful starting point for this forum would be responses to the NEW21 paper - is
it on the right lines? How should it be amended? What changes would you want to
see in the paper?
We
would also welcome your ideas of topics or activities for WEFWAG., e.g:
Possible ideas include:
-
active Internet collaboration between schools / colleges / universities on
topics
or projects relevant to WEF, e.g. Creativity, global citizenship,
sustainability
etc.;
-
ideas on possible collaboration between teachers and academics in
different
sections on publications for which WEFWAG might find a publisher
(or
for WEFWAG's website);
- any
existing activities currently under way in your Section that could be
shared
or developed internationally;
-
suggestions for affiliations with other relevant bodies with whom WEF has
an
overlap of interest (where appropriate we might be able to co-op
representatives
of other bodies to WEFWAG);
-
suggestions for projects for which WEFWAG might prepare and submit bids
for sponsorship from relevant bodies (exploiting out
international, charity
and
UNESCO status as part of our provenance);
-
discussion topics we might usefully pursue online, perhaps leading to
publications
of some kind.
Post
your ideas and responses onto this site. We hope this will lead to some
interesting activities.
